老樹枯死竟因土壤硬化　樹醫生水刀伺候

高雄市美濃區龍山國小校園內有一棵鳳凰木不幸枯死，校方請來中興大學園藝系的樹醫生團隊診療，發現鳳凰花木枯死原因，竟是土壤硬化造成，為了避免同樣情形出現在其他老樹上，樹醫生團隊決定以物理方式，利用水刀、氣爆機等，將土壤翻鬆，希望能讓這棵創校時就已存在、樹齡已超過60年的桃花心木「延年益壽」，過程也安排該校學童體驗水刀、氣爆機等機器，讓學生感到相當新奇。（劉智維／高雄報導）
