少女請願奏效　美兩大可樂品牌：不再添加阻燃劑

美國兩大飲料公司，可口可樂及百事可樂昨宣布，未來將不再添加阻燃劑成分「溴化植物油」（BVO）於所有飲料產品內。

2012年底一名15歲少女卡瓦娜芙（Sarah Kavanagh）發起請願活動，要求兩大可樂品牌不再添加「溴化植物油」於產品內，因為經她調查發現「溴化植物油」是一種阻燃劑化學成分，於日本和歐洲都禁用於食品內。雖然可口可樂和百事可樂都不斷強調，添加「溴化植物油」無害人體健康且合法，但由於美國消費者日益注重天然食品，兩大飲料品牌決定取消使用「溴化植物油」。

可口可樂旗下運動飲料Powerade、Fresca及芬達等幾款水果風味飲料，均使用「溴化植物油」作為起雲劑。可口可樂公司發言人昨表示，「溴化植物油」在許多國家販賣產品中均未使用，未來也將逐步自美國、加拿大及拉美國家產品中絕跡。〈桂家齊／綜合外電報導）
