兩大動作巨星席維斯史特龍、阿諾史瓦辛格縱橫動作片20多年，終於要在越獄動作新片《鋼鐵墳墓》中同台較勁，不但要示範給影迷看什麼才是寶刀未老的身手，更要展現成熟智慧，攜手逃出史上最嚴固的高科技監獄。
史特龍和阿諾稱霸好萊塢動作片黃金年代，兩人都走肌肉發達的硬漢路線，靠著堅定意志和過人體能制服敵人。雖然阿諾曾兩度以客串身分演出《浴血任務》系列，但這次堪稱首度從頭到尾、紮紮實實與史特龍搭檔演出，不僅聯手對抗共同敵人，還要從終極監獄逃脫。

當拿到劇本後，史特龍發覺這個劇本不僅賣弄動作，更會用到大腦，創新概念加上巧妙的敘事手法，是重振動作片類型的一大良機。「現在的觀眾不但聰明，要求也很高」史特龍解釋，「你必須給他們與眾不同的東西，動作場面外，還加入高科技等元素，當然還有我和阿諾的搭檔！」
阿諾也表示，電影裡的打鬥場面相當好看，「因為我和史特龍喜歡相互較勁，我們都想把對方比下去，尤其是打鬥場面」。史特龍更大讚對手「這是阿諾近年來最好的演出，但我不會當面對他說，因為他很臭屁。」

劇情描述史特龍飾演的越獄高手「雷」，真正的身份是受美國聯邦監獄管理局委託的監獄安管專家， 8年內曾成功逃出14座安全防衛工程最嚴密¬的重刑監獄。這回他要挑戰傳說¬中最滴水不漏、代號「墳墓」的超級監獄，卻意外被陷害，他必須使出渾身解數，才能逃出生天、重見天日。《鋼鐵墳墓》下周五（18日）台美同步上映。
