【於慶中／綜合外電報導】本屆諾貝爾醫學與生理學獎三位得主，都曾經獲得有「美國諾貝爾獎」之稱的「拉斯克基礎醫學研究獎」(Albert Lasker Award for Basic Medical Research)；其中耶魯大學的羅斯曼(James Rothman)與加州大學柏克萊分校的謝克曼(Randy Schekman)二人是在2002年共同獲獎，而德國科學家蘇德霍夫(Thomas Sudhof)剛在今年獲獎。

謝克曼現在是美國加州大學伯克萊分校的細胞生物學家，曾經擔任《美國國家科學院院刊》主編，1992年還當選美國國家科學院院士；羅斯曼是美國耶魯大學細胞生物學系系主任，他在耶魯大學取得碩士學位，在哈佛大學獲得博士學位；而蘇德霍夫是德國生物化學家，以研究突觸傳遞知名。
