緊急採購的人用狂犬病疫苗9日最大一批、有3萬劑運抵台灣，中央流行疫情指揮中心也宣布，人用狂犬病疫苗儲備醫院即日起新增6家，擴大接種。（中央社）

狂犬病中央流行疫情指揮中心10日共檢測43例動物樣材，其中來自台中新社及嘉義竹崎各1例鼬獾，確診為狂犬病，全台至8月10日止，已檢測食肉目野生動物243例，除77例鼬獾確診感染狂犬病外，其餘皆未檢出狂犬病，疫情發生地點無新增，總計目前動物狂犬病案例發生地區為8縣市38鄉鎮，感染動物種類仍以鼬獾為主。
指揮中心表示，昨日已核撥3,994劑動物用狂犬病疫苗給9個縣市的動物防疫單位，提供該轄區民間私立動物收容所犬貓施打，統計至今年9月，狂犬病疫苗總供應量可達227萬餘劑，足供全國150萬頭犬貓預防注射所需。
日前傳出婦人於宰殺鼬獾過程遭咬傷，指揮中心再次提醒民眾：不要接觸、獵捕與飼養野生動物，寵物切勿棄養且定期施打疫苗，如發現動物出現停止吃喝、不安、頻尿、畏光或出現攻擊性等異常行為，請儘速通報各地動物防疫機關處理（通報專線：0800-761-590）。
如遭動物抓、咬傷，謹記4口訣，1記：保持冷靜記住動物特徵、2沖：大量清水、肥皂沖洗傷口並用優碘消毒、3送：儘速送醫評估是否打疫苗、4觀：儘可能將咬人動物繫留觀察十日。遭動物咬傷民眾，接種疫苗務必完成施打五劑，以得到完整有效的保護。
