【綜合報導】據傳由於經費不足，無法採購適當的醫療用品，這家位於東歐的摩爾達維亞共和國(Moldavia)兒童醫院，醫生只能自力救濟，使用居家修繕工具動手術。
 
手術台上看不到標準的手術用具，只有電鋸、鉗子、電鑽還是榔頭，而醫生手術的對象都是小朋友，醫生用電鑽在孩童身上開洞，再用鉗子夾出受損臟器，醫生表示最大的問題是這些用具很難消毒。
 
一名醫護人員拍下整個手術過程，並將影片密報給當地媒體，影片一經公開隨即引發全民公憤，要求政府補助醫院的聲浪四起，但衛生部長表示這家兒童醫院其實擁有完整的手術用具，影片中使用的工具並沒有列在醫院的醫材清單上，雖然院方使用並不違法，但當局已下令徹查是否有造成任何醫療問題。

【何孟奎／台北報導】國民黨下午舉行中山會報，身兼黨主席的馬英九總統在會中表示，對於洪仲丘案他非常關心，已要求行政院跟國防部盡速辦理，希望在不妨害偵查不公開的原則下，讓大家了解進度，為大眾釋疑。

與會者轉述，會中有討論民進黨要求國防部長高華柱於立法院臨時會期間報告洪仲丘案一事，多數都表贊成；但對民進黨要求成立調閱委員會，則持保留態度。據轉述，國民黨政策會執行長林鴻池在會中說，根據《立法院職權行使法》第46條，調閱委員會「應於立法院會期中為之」，臨時會算不算會期中，這是很重要的問題，此外也須考量偵查不公開等問題，民進黨的提議有待商榷。

【邱瓈瑩／台北報導】台灣珠寶設計師又有年輕新血踏上國際，今年36歲的林妍珺以ANN LIN為品牌名，於義大利時間24日在時尚設計之都米蘭做品牌首度作品發表，展出14件藝術珠寶創作，包含Les Sakura Bracelet櫻珞手環及布倫希爾德皇冠/手環等，總價值逾2億元。
 
Ann Lin於2008年從米蘭時尚設計學院Istituto di Moda Burgo畢業，奠定她珠寶設計底蘊，2010也獲美國寶石研究院珠寶設計文憑。她擅長運用抽象線條與印象派配色創作珠寶，強調作品結構性與金屬質感，也喜愛義大利歌劇、音樂文化，所以有多項創作從歌劇中取得靈感，像櫻珞手環即是以普契尼經典歌劇《蝴蝶夫人》發想，以祖母綠雕成翩翩落下的櫻花，象徵短暫卻絢麗的永恆時刻。

【綜合報導】西班牙北部聖地亞哥德孔波斯特拉今天發生火車出軌意外，死亡人數已增至79人。火車司機事後坦承超速，他說：「我希望沒人死亡，否則我的良心難安。」

西班牙《國家報》引述不願透露姓名的警員說法，火車出軌造成司機背部與肋骨受傷，無法挪動。他透過無線電通知鐵路職員，當時是以時速逾190公里入彎，但彎道的時速限制只是80公里。

意外死傷者眾多，附近民眾都趕到醫院捐血救人，多家旅館讓死傷者家屬免費入住，有心理醫生更趕去向死者家屬與傷者提供心理輔導。
