受不了流浪狗遭捕獸夾夾斷腳掌的事件不斷重演，而屏縣府、墾管處等主管單位也拿不出解決魄力，恆春20位動保人士今聚集在墾丁，高舉寫著「捕獸夾，滾蛋！」的白布條，並步行沿著墾丁森林遊樂區牌樓入口往社頂公園山上，約7公里的山路兩旁樹叢，搜尋、拆除捕獸夾。

心疼小狗因未能掙脫，導致整隻腳腫脹潰爛，高燒、敗血、肝臟衰竭而死亡，發動人「阿珍」說，在恆春五金行隨處可見販賣捕獸夾，一支只要90元就可以使用20年，可見獸夾運用氾濫程度。從今天上午10時開始搜尋，目前已找到1捕獸夾。
 
台灣動物社會研究會執行長朱增宏批，這完全是「執法」不利的問題，捕獸夾公告不能販賣、陳列，竟還可以在五金行販售。根據動物保護法規定，虐待或傷害動物，可罰款1萬5千元至7萬5千元，但如致使動物功能喪失或死亡，就處1年以下有期徒刑。 

墾管處長陳貞蓉表示，針對獸夾禁止使用去年使用夾報方式做宣導，有正式發函至屏縣府，希望從販售點開始稽查徹底清除獸夾源頭。屏東縣政府農業處副處長姚志旺則表示，回聯合墾管處加強稽查，如發現不法，則立即清除並約談。（李卉婷／屏東報導）

即時通訊軟體WhatsApp剛在3天前被社群網站龍頭臉書高價收購，就發生全球大當機。台灣時間今天凌晨4時左右，用戶開始抱怨訊息傳不出去，全球4.5億用戶受影響，約2個半小時後才恢復正常。

台灣時間凌晨4時16分，WhatsApp在推特發文：「抱歉我們目前遇到伺服器問題，希望盡快修復。」這則推文迅速被轉貼逾2萬6000次。6時48分，WhatsApp才再度推文，宣布已恢復正常服務。有分析稱，可能是WhatsApp在19日傳出被臉書以190億美元（5775億元台幣）併購的消息後，知名度大漲，流量激增導致伺服器負荷過量。

WhatsApp當機讓用戶無法使用，引來不少諷刺。在使用率極高的香港，有用戶猜測：「這些員工分了這麼多錢，有人開心到忘了上班，有人喝醉酒啦。」（李寧怡／綜合外電報導）
